You get a fabulous mushroom wonderland!
Where else but Wonderland could mushrooms grow to the size of dinner plates?
A standard sized egg, provides a sense of scale, while resting in the shadow of a large mushroom.
Mushrooms come in so many fascinating shapes and sizes. Seashells anyone?
How about some flap jacks?
Something about these mushrooms seems dangerous to me.
I think I'll leave these to Alice and the White Rabbit.
Oh my goodness, they are gorgeous. I wonder if any of them are edible? I have a guide to mushrooms and toadstools but can never seem to identify.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get book. I tried to identify them using online resources, but didn't have much luck. I may get a kit and try to grow mushrooms that way. They really seem to like the bunny manure.
DeleteLove it! Too fun!
ReplyDeleteLove these. Funny how that one kind wants to curve up.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the ones with the black undersides best. Don't think I'd eat any of them, though.
Stay warm....
I think they curl up to release their spores, ie. mushroom seeds. If that's true, there should be plenty more mushrooms down the road.
DeleteAmazing patterns and variations they are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh my goddness. eight inches of rain! No wonder you have mushrooms! Funny thing ...while often considered a nusiance they are quite beautiful and interesting and lots of fun to photograph. I do love when I see an interesting one. Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteThose purple fringed ones do look intriguing (and I can't imagine an 8" mushroom).
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely, but please don't eat any of them. The flap jack ones look like tortoises. Super photos.
